Al Lagunero: President
Al Lagunero signs some of his paintings, “A. C. Kahekiliuila Ao Lagunero”; he is a master painter, Recording Secretary for the Keomailani Hanapi Foundation Board of Directors; and President of the Olowalu Cultural Reserve on Maui. After schools and military – Secretary to the Chief of Staff for Intelligence, Headquarters, Fifth U. S. Army, at Chicago, Illinois--Lagunero returned to the islands of O’ahu, Hawai’i and Maui. Al served, 7 years, on a socio-economic development non-profit corporation, Lokahi Pacific, Inc., nurturing Maui’s tri-island county. He was the Corporate Secretary recording Board business; Director, Community Services; and Executive Director. Lokahi’s Board helped to establish and invest in large and small businesses where profit, ownership, and employment would act as catalyst for community benefits and sustainability of the corporate body. After Lokahi Pacific, he joined Rocky and Lucia Jensen and the artists of Hale Naua III. In 1983-86, Lagunero owned and operated Ahu’ula, The Maui Gallery, in Lahaina. He traveled after closing the gallery while in residence and studio on Maui for two decades. Al Lagunero volunteered on boards involved in arts, sciences and spirituality. He has teamed with Maui’s kumu hula, community presentations, and with group exhibits. His residence, office, studio, and showrooms In Kula are filling up once more as he has returned to paint full time since 2008.
Mike Hanapi: Vice President
Mike Hanapi was an Operational Specialist in the Federal Government for the Federal Aviation Administration for 26 years, as an Air Traffic Controller Journeyman, Training Specialist and 1st and 2nd level Supervisor, and lastly as a staff level Regional Advisor to 3 air traffic facilities in the Pacific region. Mike also spent 10 years with the State of Hawai'i Department of Transportation as an Assistant Airport Superintendant performing safety, permittees, property management and contract administration. His last 9 years to date have been as a sole proprietor. He is an active member of the Elks Club and sat on their Board of Directors as Chairman of House Committee and Bulletin Editor. He loves Hawaiian music and in backyard gatherings plays his guitar. Mike is one of the founders of the Keomailani Hanapi Foundation.

Marc Mielke: Treasurer
Marc Mielke was a Human Resource specialist at the University of Washington, Seattle for five years. As a disabilities specialist, his work brought him closer to people with disabilities whom he aided in finding employment. He left Seattle as a licensed massage therapist. After working and traveling in Europe and Asian, he settled in Hawai'i in 1995. He specializes in lomilomi and deep tissue work, and has been trained in lomilomi by Aunty Margaret Machado. Presently, Marc Mielke is a lead massage therapist at the Hilton Waikoloa on the Big Island of Hawai'i. He sits on the Board of Directors of the Keomailani Hanapi Foundation as the Treasurer and is one of the founders of Keomailani Hanapi Foundation.
